Volunteer
ELC students learn more efficiently and effectively when they receive one-on-one attention and assistance - volunteers help to provide that opportunity to as many students as possible (1,000+ hours volunteered annually in the past!). ELC loves its volunteers and can always use more, especially as student tutors and teacher aides.
All volunteers are given training and are directly supervised an Instructor. ELC wants volunteers to feel comfortable and have ample support, and we make every effort to ensure this. Our volunteer program has improved dramatically since working with ProLiteracy America; already (in less than one year), our volunteer numbers have increased from 6 to 25.
