U.S. Citizenship Preparation
This class aims to help students prepare for becoming U.S. citizens, including passing the U.S. citizenship test. Students are given knowledgeable direction, guidance, and assistance in successfully completing the many aspects of applying for citizenship – a process that can be otherwise overwhelming and confusing.
(U.S. Citizenship class is separate from ELC’s core program of ESOL classes.)
Students receive:
- Information on the Examination Board procedure
- Assistance in scheduling hearings/testing appointments
- Assistance in filling out forms and completing other paperwork to apply for citizenship
Students will:
- Gain an in-depth understanding of U.S. government, laws, and practices
- Become familiar with U.S. culture
- Pass the U.S. Citizenship test
